Get Out To Vote!

November 2nd, the Flint Branch NAACP in partnership with the Pan-Hellenic Council, will be having a “Get Out To Vote” rally on the Flint City Hall Lawn from 10am until 3pm.

Kerry Washington of “Scandal” will be in attendance to give a speech about the importance of voting and women’s suffrage. Ms. Washington is set to speak at 2:30pm and will stay for an undetermined amount of time to engage with the public.

There will be free food and refreshments along with live entertainment throughout the event including Pan-Hellenic step shows, spoken word, stage performances, local athletes, the Kuugana African Drum and Dance Group, and more.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and does not endorse candidates or political parties, or engage in direct campaigning. As the nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization, the NAACP actively works with our more than 2,000 branches to inform and encourage civic engagement through voter registration activities and public forums, and actively opposes voter discrimination and other policies that make it more difficult for citizens to cast their ballot.
