41st Annual Freedom Fund

Greetings,

The Flint Branch NAACP is delighted to announce its 41st Annual Freedom Fund Dinner, which will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 6:00 P.M., (VIP Reception 5:00-6:00 P.M.).  This black-tie gala will be held at Gateway Centre, 5353 Gateway Centre Dr., Flint, MI  48507.  This year’s theme is “ NAACP: This is Power!”.  We celebrate the gains for freedom this organization has made in its 111 year history and our resolve to fight for everyone eligible to register to vote, while we fight that every eligible voter is able to cast an unfettered ballot in every election.  The NAACP, This is Power!

This year the Sponsorship packets include a Scholarship Opportunity for our ACT-SO (Afro-Academic Cultural Technological Scientific Olympics) Program.  This will allow scholarships for 9th -12th grade students who compete at the local level in the 32 different categories.  Please take a few moments to visit the NAACP ACT-SO website to see the benefits of supporting and encouraging our youth.

The Flint Branch of the NAACP continues to edify the community through the implementation of initiatives which focuses on alleviating health and educational disparities, promoting financial equity, addressing labor discrimination, and providing scholarship endowments to Genesee County students.  Facilitation of these initiatives is essential upon financial assistance and personal investments provided by you and the community as a whole.
